Sakinah Word Bank: List 10 words that end in a Sukoon and practice stopping your breath precisely on the last letter without “leaking” a vowel. Surah Quraysh Audit: This Surah is famous for Leen sounds. Find every instance of Waw Leen in the first two verses. Lip Movement Video: Record yourself saying “Yawm” (يَوْم). Watch your lips; they should start relaxed for the Yaa and round smoothly for the Waw. The One-Count Drill: Use a timer or tap your hand. Practice reading them to ensure they sound identical. Surah Al-Fatiha Hunt: Find the word “Ar-Rahman” and “Maliki.” Identify the Standing Fatha in these words. The 2-Count Timer: Record yourself pronouncing 5 letters with Standing Fatha, using a metronome or finger taps to ensure each is exactly 2 counts. Transcription Drill: Take a sentence from your workbook and rewrite it, replacing Alif Maddah with Standing Fatha where possible. Heavy Standing Fatha: Practice the heavy letters (like Qaf or Saad) with Standing Fatha. Ensure the sound remains “thick” for the full 2 counts.

The Finger-Count Drill: Record yourself pronouncing Maa, Laa, Saa, using your fingers to time the 2-count duration exactly. Letter-Alif Marriage: Practice joining different letters to Alif (e.g., Baa-Alif, Taa-Alif, Kha-Alif) to see how the connection looks visually. Heavy vs. Light: Record the difference between a “Light” Alif Maddah (Saa) and a “Heavy” one (Taa as in Ta-ha).
